Counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families.

FAQ

  • How will I know if you are the right therapist for me?

The only way to know for sure is to reach out and schedule an intake session. Most people can get the sense within the first couple of sessions if I will be a good fit for what they’re looking for. If the fit isn’t right, I will work with the client to find someone who is a better fit.

  • Do you provide in-person or online counseling?

Right now, I am accepting in-person and virtual clients.

  • What can I expect from therapy?

Making the choice to come to therapy is a difficult one, especially if you don’t know what to expect. What you can expect from therapy is to be respected. Therapy is a shared journey in which we discover together, different perspectives and changes that can be made to alleviate the burden you are feeling. I do not have all of the answers, but I do have the ability to listen carefully with compassion and ask thought-provoking questions.

  • How long do appointments last?

The intake appointment will last 45-50 minutes. Recurring appointments will last 50-55 minutes.

  • How do I pay for therapy sessions?

I accept insurance through the following providers:

    i. Aetna

ii. Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

    iii. Cigna

iv. Optum plans (UHC, Oxford, UMR, & AMP; Connecticare)

I will work with you to figure out if you have a payment responsibility as part of your insurance plan. If you have a copay, I accept credit cards (including the usage of HSA cards) and Venmo. Payment will be collected at the time of service.

I also accept out-of-pocket payments in the form of credit cards and Venmo for those without insurance.

Upon request, I can provide a superbill for out-of-network documentation. Reimbursement will be determined based on the client’s insurance plan.
